In the period 10 – 12 November 2023, in the Alba Iulia and Sibiu garrisons, the final stage of the Ministry of National Defense of the Military Swimming Championship for military educational institutions took place. Participating in this competition (out of a total of 10 teams present), the team of the Military Technical Academy „Ferdinand I” finished 1^st in the general ranking (2023 edition).

By winning all 5 events of the championship („Grand Slam Swimming”), MTA managed to obtain the fifth championship title, after those won in the editions of 2014, 2016, 2017 and 2018.

Results:
1^st place – 100 m breast stroke (Șerban COTOS);
1^st place – 100 m freestyle (Șerban COTOS);
1^st place – 50 m breast stroke (Annamaria AVRAM);
1^st place – 50 m freestyle (Annamaria AVRAM);
1^st place – Medley relay – (Ștefan GHEORGHE, Alexandru MATEICIUC and Șerban COTOS);
3^rd place – 100 m freestyle (Ștefan GHEORGHE);
4^th place  – 100 m breast stroke (Alexandru MATEICIUC);
4^th place  – 50 m breast stroke (Alexia DRAGOMIR);
5^th place– 50 m freestyle (Andreea RADU);
Reserve – female (Sonia ONOFREI).
