The „Military Technical Academy „Ferdinand I” has recently hosted a series of international scientific events, of particular importance both for the industrial sector and for the academic and research community around the world.
The 33rd edition of the International Conference „Modern Technologies in the XXI Century 2023”, the 3rdedition of the Itinerant International Conference „Language-Security-Technology 2023”, as well as the 2nd edition of The Itinerant Student Conference „Language and security in the military context 2023” took place in the Military Technical Academy „Ferdinand I”, between 15 and 16 November 2023 and brought together teachers and researchers from the country and abroad, from military academies and civilian universities in Poland, Bulgaria, Germany, Belgium and the USA.
The international conference „Modern Technologies in the XXI Century” represented a renewal of the tradition of the Military Technical Academy „Ferdinand I” (after a break of seventeen years since the last edition), to bring together researchers, teachers and specialists from the industrial environment, in the field of technical systems for defense and security.
The itinerant conferences „Language-Security-Technology” and „Language and Security in the Military Context 2023” represent a joint project of the military academies, within the Erasmus Military initiative, the first editions being organized by the Military University of Technology in Warsaw, Poland (the initiating institution of these conferences). The next edition, from 2024, will be hosted by the Bulgarian Air Force Academy in DolnaMitropolia.
During the conferences, these articles were presented in plenum: Olena LENNON (University of New Haven, USA) – How Public Perceptions Shape the Narratives of Victory and Defeat in the Russo-Ukrainian War; Thomas M. KLAPÖTKE (Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich, Germany) – Trends in the Area of Energetic Materials, and Sofia MENEZES (Portuguese Military Academy, Lisbon, Portugal) – Lead and Heal: Communicate Using Your Emotional Intelligence First-Aid Kit.
