The Military Technical Academy „Ferdinand I” has a tradition of over 50 years in the training of computer engineers, the first series of students in this specialization enrolling in 1965. Continuing this tradition, the Faculty of Information Systems and Cyber Security has as a strategic objective the development in the academy of an environment of education and scientific research internationally recognized for its excellence, quality and dynamism.

The excellence in education is ensured by the high level of professional training of teachers, the permanent updating of the content of study programs and the consistency of the available material base, the didactic activities taking place in amphitheaters, classrooms and laboratories furnished with modern equipment and technology, and state-of-the-art computers.

The faculty is involved in numerous research projects and has collaborative relationships with prestigious universities and specialized companies in the country and abroad. The faculty organizes, in collaboration with partner universities, the SECITC international conference (www.secitc.eu), a leading scientific event in the field of cyber security.
