The Military Technical Academy has the following missions:

  • to provide training and professional development of logistics officers of the technical engineering service, of specialist officers and of civilian personnel selected for the specific needs of the defence, public order and national security structures or of other beneficiaries in the country or from abroad;
  • to carry out bachelor, master and doctoral study programs in the accredited fields and specialties as well as other professional development and specialty courses forms;
  • to cooperate with higher education institutions at national level;
  • to promote the European dimension of education and scientific research by participating in programs of European Union and in partnerships with military and civilian universities through students, teachers and researchers mobility;
  • to adapt the higher education to the NATO member country specificity by apprehending NATO terminology, standards and procedures providing for interoperability with the Euro Atlantic structures within the European security systems and UNO controlled missions.

The Military Technical Academy carries out its missions acheiving the following objectives:

  • to adapt the higher education to the NATO member country specificity by apprehending NATO terminology, standards and procedures providing for interoperability with the Euro Atlantic structures within the European security systems and UNO controlled missions.
  • training of bachelor officers in the fundamental domain “engineering sciences” who are able to carry out specific tasks for the defence, public order and national security system (the Ministry of National Defence, Ministry of Administration and the Interior, Special Telecommunications Service, Romanian Intelligence Service, External Intelligence Service, Guard and Protection Service);
  • achieving specialty and military knowledge, specific competencies and abilities to engineering specialties;
  • assuming the management role of military technical and economic activities and that of military leader;
  • organization and carrying out of master, doctorate and post academic studies to develop and further professional training;
  • organization and carrying out of scientific research to develop the education process and knowledge in the study fields and specialties, to equip the military with new types of combat equipment, to upgrade the existing equipment and technologies for maintenance and to solve projects of national interest.
