Council of the Doctoral School
Doctoral studies are the superior cycle of academic studies aiming at knowledge development through original scientific research. Doctoral studies consist of two basic components:
– Advanced academic training program
– Scientific research program
The Military Technical Academy is recognized by the Ministry of Education Research Youth and Sports as an Institution Organizing Doctoral Studies – IOSUD, with 39 confirmed Ph.D. advisors, in 7 domains of the fundamental domain “engineering sciences”.
In its capacity of IODS – MTA promotes interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary approaches within Doctoral Studies.
MTA organizes full-time Doctoral Studies which are either budget-funded or fee-based and part-time doctoral studies.
Starting the academic year 2011-2012, in conformity with Act 1/2011, The National Education Act, doctoral studies are organized by Doctoral Schools, with their own specific management and administrative system of the related study and research programs.
The academy also organizes jointly advised doctorates with higher education institutions in the country and from abroad. Up to now there have been defended 9 theses jointly conducted with higher education institutions in France.
